Mark is the Managing Director of Razoreye Design, the boutique marketing, advertising and design agency he established in Perth, Western Australia that specialises in the areas of branding, corporate marketing collateral, packaging, bespoke website design and intelligent signage solutions.
Mark launched Razoreye Design following a range of successful roles including Senior Art Director and Graphic Designer working with global brands such as BMW, Palmolive and British American Tobacco.
His career in Advertising, Design and Marketing spans more than 33 years and is built on the values of Loyalty, Integrity, Frivolity, Creativity, Empathy, Passion and Commitment. His exceptional vision and strong design-based strategic creative skills have also been successfully applied to the direction of numerous corporate videos and photography.
Mark’s experience in the medical sector commenced with Argus Biomedical and the development of brand identities for the optical implant assets AlphaCor and AlphaSphere. These were later acquired by US-based CooperVision – the second largest player in the oligopolistic contact lens market globally.
As the Creative Director responsible for marketing the Lions Eye Institute, Mark worked alongside Professors Ian Constable AO, Professor David Mackey and Professor Mariapia Degli-Esposti whose work extends into experimental Ocular Immunology.
The success of that campaign led to his designing the global brand for Clinical Cell Culture, a biotechnology company that developed and distributed tissue-engineered cellular products for skin replacement. Spearheaded by Professor Fiona Wood in collaboration with her co-inventor Marie Stoner, Clinical Cell Culture pioneered the innovative ‘spray-on skin’ technique known as Recell that was developed in response to the 2002 Bali bombings. The technique continues to be used worldwide today.
